, “I didn’t know what else to do.” Translation: “My parents used that on us.” (I don’t know how often, but I’m gusenisg she/aunts and uncles got something closer to beating.) It’s difficult to see grandparents the same way knowing that, but it certainly wasn’t uncommon then. Even after that, for a long time, I could understand giving a toddler a light smack on a (diapered) bottom to express disapproval in really serious cases something involving self-harm or harm to other children (hitting, kicking) but now that just seems like a waste of time or a good way to escalate a tantrum-y moment. I know I’ve asked before, but to add to Maree’s question parents, how do you negotiate with nonverbal children? (Example: I was on a flight with two unhappy toddlers. They weren’t related, but the parents were sitting together. They were unsurprisingly fussy, turned on one another, and one of them hit/slapped the other. No one was spanked, the pair was separated, but I didn’t see anything to indicate the parent of the child that hit had used the moment to correct her. How do you effectively discipline a child that isn’t speaking yet? Is it just a matter of giving them choices and limits, as Turdhurdler has mentioned before?)

Liberal are like hemroids-"Rick Perry is our only hope. When Gov. Perry saves your black asses, don't be tryin' to run your hands through his good hair."What you say is what the radio show on NPR alluded to. You must be part of Perry's Apostolic Reformation.

while i completely agree with you about people not relying on tabs to learn, you are forgetting about the person actually tabbing the song. Transcribing others’ playing is a great way to learn to play like them, and improve your musical ear, its what all the jazz musicians do. so if everyone spent their time ‘tabbing’ songs like this? it would be greatly beneficial for them.

I had so much fun recently with Sandra and Joseph for their maternity session! It’s always a welcomed relief to have a couple that is willing to go along with any crazy idea that comes to my mind during a shoot. I can’t wait to (hopefully) meet their little blessing soon!
